Friday the 13th
In a recent online interview, Chuck was asked the question: 'Why do you think the Friday the 13th movies have been a bigger hit than other thrillers featuring serial killers?'
His response: "Interesting question! I think it might be the car accident syndrome, where sometimes you don't WANT to look, but you always end up turning your head to see what happens. They are so unrealistic and usually quite graphic with their violence, that it becomes almost silly, and you start to laugh and wonder how is the next person going to die. Maybe everybody just likes a really good villain, and I think Jason is probably in the top five."

In another interview for the movie, Chuck said, "Jason X just happened by accident. They just happened to be shooting in Toronto. And when I got the call for the audition and saw it was 'Friday the 13th Part 10.' I wasn't that interested, to be honest with you. I think I only saw the first two, so by this one, I had no idea what the hell was going on! But it was cool because Robin Cook was very nice and she said, 'They're not taking it so seriously this time. There's going to be a fun feel to it. Just go in and have fun and audition.' I felt Jim Isaac wanted people to enjoy it. He wanted to give credit to the series, but do something different with it. So I went in and just got lucky."
